DAY TRIPPIN
Just a half hour east of Portland you can find yourself in the Columbia River Gorge - an 80 mile stretch of canyon that divides Oregon and Washington with a myriad of hikes and views of Mt Hood, Mt Adams and Mt St. Helens (and of course the beautiful Columbia River.) Been trying to bust out of town on these sunny spring days and go hiking. This was a 6 mile hike a friend and I did about an hour outside of Portland on the WA side of the river called Labyrinth Loop Hike - a trail full of wild flowers, giant basalt rock formations, waterfalls, a magical oak grove. The hike ends with a spectacular view of Coyote Wall cliff!
NW livin' is the best.
